Thank you for your interest in this handmade coffee table made from rare California Redwood Burl. With a slab this beautiful, we decided to keep it simple and just highlight the stunning redwood grain. The final product is sanded down and finished with a high quality polyurethane.

A burl is a growth on a tree formed from unsprouted bud tissue. The burl forms large, knobby looking growths on the base and trunk of the tree. Stress caused by injury, fungus, virus, or insects creates intense grain patterns. It’s very rare in nature. 

Care Instructions:

Use mild dish soap and warm water to wipe clean and buff dry. Avoid dusting with a dry or old cloth, this may scratch the finish. Clean up spills immediately. Avoid polish that contains ammonia or silicon. Dust with a soft damp cloth by following the wood grain.
